Course Content: The curriculum includes units on communication, person-centred support, developing and implementing support plans, promoting independence and community participation, providing positive behavior support, and understanding legal and ethical frameworks.

Work Placement: A key component of the course involves practical work placement, where students gain hands-on experience in real-world disability support settings.

Career Pathways: This qualification can lead to various roles, including disability support worker, team leader, or coordinator, in a range of disability service organizations.

Progression: The Certificate IV in Disability Support can be a stepping stone to further study, such as a Diploma of Community Services or even a Bachelor’s degree in related fields.
